really do. i've sen the speech befoo, but regardless how powerful it is in itself, i think this beautiful mash-up and compilation amped it up a few hundred notches.

So this will probably be the second best movie of 2012

(After Dark Knight Rises obviously). Some people say that there are no similarities between this poster and the original one for Alien. Some people [those people] couldn't be fucking further from the truth. And as Ridley Scott himself has said, "The last 8-minutes of the film are gonna tie shit together with Alien so badass you'll cry blood, I shit you not"*.

What's really gonna make this movie fly is actually one thing. It's not Ridley (he can be as best (Alien, Gladiator) as he can be so-so (Kingdom Of Heaven) as he can be hmm-not-too-fucking-sure-if-it's-epic-or-not (Black Hack Down, Body Of Lies, American Gangster, Robin Hood) as he can be I-couldn't-even-be-bothered-to-see-it (Matchstick Men, A Good Year) as he can be crap (Hannibal, G.I. Jane) so you can't expect too much from him all the time. And you shouldn't. But when he's at his best, he's amongst the best.

It's Michael Fassbender. The real deal personified. Let's just hope he sees/knows this enough not to kill him off too early in the movie.

*CONFESSION: He did not specifically use those words, but he did say that about the movie. I shit you not.

Yeah nothing in common. Not at all. Shut the fuck up. But they're good similar. We like that. Not too obvious. Just the hint.
