She's not making it easy for us, but we love and endorse anything that Sophia Coppola does. Even if it includes Stephen Dorff (wtf).

More bombastic love and BIGGER (= better) pictures right here.

Amazing song

Can only agree with some dude trying to interpret the meaning. Is the Shivers' singer Keith Zarriello angry at her or himself for still loving her?

Live version where the audio sadly sucks a bit (we do do prefer live anyway here).

Proper version
Just Didn't Need To Know by The Shivers

In the song that put the truth in my veins
Came the light from your face wash away my sweet pain
You were made from the soul that was made from the rain
Can you’re soul that put the truth in my vein

And I’ve been wandering round so long I don’t remember from where I came
And I could blame it all on you my dear but really who’s to blame?
And I could kiss or I could kill but really it’s all the same
Underneath the bridge waiting for the train

There was room in your tomb for a bride and groom
And I know you’ve been seeing other boys I just don’t know whom
I learned so many things about you I just didn’t need to know
But I can’t help myself I’m sick I still love you so
I learned so many things about you I just didn’t need to know
But I can’t help myself I’m sick I still love you so

It was wrong from the start I really got torn apart
Straight into my bed like a hunter for my heart
And don’t pretend that we were friends we were never friends
And don’t go crying it was love if you could walk away from everything

There was room in your tomb for a bride and groom
And I know you’ve been fucking other boys I just can’t figure out whom
I learned so many things about you I just didn’t need to know
But I can’t help myself I’m sick I still love you so
I learned so many things about you I just didn’t need to know
But I can’t help myself I’m sick I still love you so
I learned so many things about you I just didn’t need to know
But I can’t help myself I’m sick I still love you so
I learned so many things about you I just didn’t need to know
But I can’t help myself I’m sick I still love you so

iPhone people wtf

They are very peculiar. Religious-style peculiar. If you don’t agree with them you’re considered a misfit and need to be salved. Quickly. They make that moment they find out into their mini-15-min-crusade to convert you.

“What do you mean you don’t like iPhone – who doesn’t like the iPhone!? You’re weird. SO weird.”

And yes, perhaps the few of us are. But it’s like with everything you don’t have – you don’t have it – so you don’t know all the splendid things you miss out on either. I haven’t used a single app but I’m doing pretty ok. The thing I love the most though, is easily the fact that I don’t have the iPhone. I don’t know what I’m missing.

I don’t have internet connection on my phone now and I. Love. It. I love the little time I have away from my computer. I love not checking on Facebook, replying/receiving emails, updating Twitter or browsing inane stupid silly and mostly lovely websites. That time is precious. Vital. Which is part of the entire point. I know that I would browse the web if I had it. I will obviously get the iPhone4 btw.

Going around painting pets as pandas and tigers... Well.

Craziness borrowed from here.

Fookkin goggles

Have a very early meeting (9am!) this morning and don't want to look like a mess. Very easy, one might think, if it wasn't for the decision of swimming today before work. Swimming equals rape-eyes. The goggles I have like to sit tight. They penetrate the eye socks and makes you look like a persecutor and victim at once. It's very annoying and very much more ugly. Takes almost half-a-day to get rid of.

So after a few laps I thought, "maybe I should loosen them up". It was a great idea so I did and after a few strokes I had filled them with the entire pool. Tighten these puppies up, while wearing them (removing them means [even more] water inside and worse - that annoying 'fog') is not to recommend hence you loose all sort of orientation of how tight they should fit and how they were before.

I am now soon off to a very early meeting. Looking like a mess.

Maxium Balloon

It's the new side project from genius David Andrew Sitek of amazing TV On The Radio. Song is awesome. So is the video, of course, but in all honestly it's the song I want. Apparently too new to get a full/longer copy of, so until then. Guess we're stuck with hottie, Daisy Lowe. Poor us.

You better believe it. NYC Seaport. A stone-throw away from where I live. Awesome. Pictures shamelessly stolen from here.

A Single Man on a plane

Everyone has heard about it. People have been raving it. Critics love it. Gay people worship it. “Its so beautiful”, “A visual festive for the eye”, “Tom Ford shows why he’s a visual master”, are just some of the reviews.

So you want to see it. So you do. Only thing is it was on a fricking plane from Paris to New York across the Atlantic Ocean (missed the first two but caught the third flight) on this small tiny screen. Now, even there we have a situation. And when the steward casually groaned before I got on, “Oh... you’re on 46G…” you know you’re in a shit hole.

First I was afraid they’d kick us off, for whatever reason (was really – really – not in the mood of missing a third flight now) but when he casually mentioned our monitors were out of synch and might not work’, it felt way worse than missing that flight. I had already decided not to sleep during the flight and stay awake and watch movies – gazillions of movies – in order to beat jet lag (which I don’t believe in actually – but better safe it up) and arrive to New York in New York time-zone directly.

This monitor-malfunction was not part of the bulletproof plan. The screen was showing films, that I could depict, but it wasn’t viewable in the sense of enjoying a film. Screen had this ‘filter’ of flickering thing and divided into small squares. An annoying grid you could see the entire time. Imagine pixels. But plan was already set so I continued watching. Film after film. Headache grew. But I did watch this “beautiful movie”. On my flickering, on/off grid-like screen. I’m sure it was visually stunning.

But I never got jet lag.

Had this crazy ass dream last night

I was in a room. Monkeys everywhere. Then a TV was switched on and announced that the chic from Speed 2 had won an Oscar. LOL.

Really love this little music/art project. Simple and beautiful. As it should be. Merci. See more right here.

Mico on Mico:
Hi. My name is Mico. I am a designer. I like music and typography. So I combined them on this Project because I had nothing better to do.

Everything is obviously from Jon the man.
