So what Ricky Gervais wanted to do for the opening was to come out dressed as Adolf Hitler, all with the sieg heill and stache and all. Walk out, wave to them and go to the podium, "Too much?". Then look at the audience and go, "it's the wrong crowd..." and then finish with "It's the last time I'm gonna borrow a costume from Mel Gibson". The studio said no. After that he didn't share anything with them. The man kills it. Brilliant.
