17°C to snow in two days
Pretty crazy if you think about it. But also very lovely. As today is. radiant sun but cold as hell. Even though I managed to power nap through the whole "snow" affair (one of those rainy-snows) it still happened.

“Group Of Death”
It annoys me more than anything. Even before the World Cup draw was over people had suggested, voted and commented on which potential group scenarios would be this year’s "The Group Of Death". Problem is, no one is, this year. This World Cup consists of more evenly divided teams in each group (there are exceptions, of course) than before and should therefor be treated thereafter.
When the expression was coined it was because it was needed – that one group actually consisted of four equally good teams that has, by at least some level, a chance for the title – or at least considered good enough to cause any danger to any team on any given day. This year people refer to the group consisting of Brazil, Ivory Coast, Portugal and - the football-threatening nation we all fear – North Korea.
OK. Not sure where are thoughts, impressions and sympathies are regarding this nation, but whoever claims it to be related to football is simply a liar. Idiots.

6th Av and 44th St
Walked without thinking, with forced inspiration and confidence in my steps - displaying a very knowing -what-to-do and -where-I'm-going look. After ten blocks I realized I had reached 55th Street. Monumental Downtown FAIL.

The fastest time anyone has ever eaten an apple is...
56.31 seconds. Not quite what we expected when we woke up this morning, ey. Feels like one of those 'impossible things' you can beat yourself. Easily. Like licking your own elbow and such. Source from here.

The Crow
Its is on TV right now. Carelessly delaying my sleep, having the same effect as when I just recently realized cough-medicine has on me: An instant catapult back to when I was ten or so.
The darkness, the dreary city with no sign of salvation, his make up, the outfits and the everlasting constant rain. It is magical.
Brandon Lee was my first hero and role model and it was the first movie I remember that I truly loved and felt I could relate to. Or at least that’s how I want to remember it. A fabricated wish of a memory that was once. But isn’t those the best ones. Not necessarily the real ones or how they actually were, but the way you remember them.

Swimming + Running = Absolutely fucking great
Ever since I started swimming* my running has been given a new meaning. It’s never boring, tedious or reluctant. It’s completely rejuvenating.
Like today, been swimming for two days and oups – HELLO isn’t that the sun and really hot outside. Well yes thank you very much – let’s go for a jog today.
After all it was three days ago. But I haven’t been lazing off. Get it. They complement each other. They complete me. Perfect match made in heaven. Ah, heaven. Can’t wait for my new Hercules body to come/show up/appear.

Silhouettes Of Jazz
To use the word of Platon: This is AMAZING. I absolutely love it. The crastmanship. The music. This truly fascinates me. CLICK here for more juicy jazz.
"This animated short movie outlines the history of traditional jazz music in a virtual walkthrough of a shadow art museum.
Shadow art is a unique form of sculptural art that exploits the fact that we can recognize objects from their shadows or silhouettes. Improvisation, a key ingredient of jazz music, is mirrored in the ambiguity of a shadow sculpture: many different 3D shapes can cast the same 2D shadow.
The movie highlights five different milestones in the evolution of jazz: the early songs of field workers, ragtime, New Orleans jazz, swing, and bebop. Each era is represented with a room containing 3D sculptures which cast multiple shadow images at the same time. This unique property is achieved using a novel computational method for the interactive creation and manipulation of shadow art. Given a set of desired silhouette images, a global geometric optimization builds a 3D shadow volume that can subsequently be edited by the artist using a set of 3D modeling tools.
The reinterpretation of jazz and non-jazz music is crucial in jazz pieces - in the same way, a shadow object can be seen as a 3D interpretation of the desired 2D shadows."

Swimming!
Swimming is great. Perhaps the best sport/activity of all. It is the only sport/activity in the whole wide world that exercises every single muscle in your body simultaneously.
We have a pool in our building so I will from now on swim every other day. The other every other day I will continue to run. Diversity is my ally. I can’t hit the gym (just can’t) so this will be grand and before Christmas my body will look like Hercules’. After the first try I have to admit that it feels beyond great. I am absolutely invigorated. All is bliss. And ache. Hence I haven’t really stretched my muscles for a couple of dozens years, the ache is immense.
I am not a good swimmer but since it was early dawn and I was alone in the pool I couldn’t care less. Crawling made me look like drowning and I almost did. Swallowing water like a stupid whale. Which would be fine if I had those damn exhale holes that they got, but I don’t. So it was breaststrokes. Fine. I look like a dork. Now, if only I had those nerdy looking goggles to go with my upcoming new incredibly fit swimming muscled body I would look as invincible as I feel.

Going West - Maurice Gee
Now, if you necessarily have to make another stop-motion film (they come in plenty now). Make sure it fills a purpose rather than just being, oh cute stop-motion. Like this one. We like this very much of course.
