“I know”

Watched MTV this weekend (what else) and must first confirm its superiority of real-life TV shows. Fantastic.
Latest (might be old) on my menu is Taking The Stage. A bunch of dancers and Fame-wannabes and gonnabes. Instantly capturing, of course.
When I watched, some girl who sings entered a room where her half-nerdy friend sat, playing the piano. He told her he had composed a new song and she wanted to hear it.
Surprisingly good, it was about the girl he loved but too shy to tell.
After it was over he simply said, “It’s about you”.
She smiled and replied, “I know”, and it was instantaneously a rare, affectionate and perfect moment, one that didn’t need a happy ending, or anything else for that matter. Felt like love is supposed to be unrequited.
