pretty dope runway

OK. I nevaa use 'dope'* cause I think it's silly when idiots abroad (e.g. Swedes in the US) use these clearly American expressions as if we're Americans ourselves.

Ducks walk single file when crossing the street

They may not be potty trained and shit. But these ducks show more discipline than most humans.

Chinese men running

They run wearing denim jeans. And shirts. Usually button down shirts. Sometimes they wear a polo shirt. And some peculiar cases wears chinos. This is nothing I say to be funneh, but merely stating after venturing now both East and the West side on me morning runs (more on the East side though). And it goes for every single Asian person running. No exceptions.

Side note: there are sooo much more people running on the West side. Crazy. It's like a community of fat people staying together. (Flock behavior; it's easier to blend in amongst others of the same shape). The roads are also better constructed for active people. They have signs with "Bikes, rollerblades to the left, running walking to the right". I know. Rollerblades. Ha.

This is one genius seal

Can easily imagine him becoming President of All Seals one day. Or at least he should be elected when they vote later this Fall.

West Broadway and White Street knows how to commemorate a man

Now, what's the saddest part: that I actually appreciate and got all excited over something shitty like this, or the terrible handwriting.

One of those videos you want to end. Yet all I could think of is, who built the damn thing!?

Overload of fun in Battery Park

Going down to the park is always a very underestimated fun thing to do. Now, while Battery Park isn't exactly Washington Sq Park (that is overloaded with weird/fun/crazy/ridiculous people moments), it is surely sufficient for Sunday amusement.

I went down with Liza. She's from Skane.

I'm quite a photographer.

I hate when images don't capture what was going on. These are two 40-55 year-old men who were throwing frisbee with each other. They were quite good, but looked completely ridiculous. For this moment in the park they were like children again. OK, I take it back, it was lovely.

This is how fun Liza is to hang with in the park.

These two became my favorites. Geared up in their neon bright vests and helmet on the dude, they were sure to not be hit by anyone when strolling around the no-driving park.

The two old frisbee dudes.

Walk and loss

I met up Rasmus for a pizza slica and later coffe. Splendid. Then he left for Fabian and a crayfish party (but with shrimps instead).

So I met up with Petter instead. Cause we wanted to play billiards. He cheated so we went to Schiller's. It was a while ago and it was delicious. Nom nom nom nom. Great Labor Day.

And yes, I've also recently discovered the Hipstamatic on the iPhone. And yes, I frowned at it in the beginning but you hav to agree the pictures look great. Oui.

Sunday Excursion Uptown

Sunday was about to turn out to one of those massive sitting at home watching important football games while the sun was radiant outside.

So after a bit of contemplating Cris and I decided to go uptown.

First this totally eerie posters greeted us in Soho. We quickly realized it has to be a campaign of some sort. It has to be.

Then we went up to Columbus Circle and up in Mandarin Hotel.

Lovely view, weird Asian-fused-elevator music playing.

But beer to save it all.

Then into Central Park where the crazy Roller Blade mafia never ceases to amaze you

Cris

Everyone is perplexed by their lovely weirdness

Dancing, jamming, rollerblading, flirting, weirding, discoing. They do it all.

Then off to Boat House

Even though it was around seven-ish it was still crazy hot. I was convinced summer was going away.

Glad I'm wrong.

All in all 100+ blocks. Lovely. I didn't even feel bad for missing Zlatan's presentation in halftime in the Milan game.

Gay men and I

This is something that never ever fails. When I’m walking on the street – men check me out. Not look or glance. But check me out. The way I – unintentionally might occasionally – check out women. So I know the look.

It. Never. Fails.

It’s almost comical because pretty much everyone does it. It doesn’t matter if it’s the obvious gay with cut-off jeans-short-shorts and too tight white/rainbow colored tank top or the guy whose talking a stroll with his pretty wife and dog, you encounter. They all give me their steamiest “sssssuup, how you doing” look.

Sometimes I take the Sunday walks with Oskar and he can’t stop laughing about it. Forcing me trying not to look up just to ignore the awkward confrontation. Of course I can’t help myself and is always greeted by the a little bit too polite/long/intense/tempting stare they give me. Sometimes couples approach me and – as always – I give the woman a fair and proper inspection before the courtesy glance at the dude to make sure he’s not offended. And nope. He doesn’t seem to be too annoyed as his glance says he’s looking hungry and ready to trade her for boy any day.
