Monsters Of Folk. Heroes from Bright Eyes (Conor Oberst) My Morning Jacket and M. Ward is worth every minute of your time, regardless if you have a minute or not.
I always prefer live versions, but in case you just want to hear the full version, here you go. Plus, I love their album-cover. It intrigues me. Front and back.

From nothing to insanity
Been pretty, not so busy, lately and been quite enjoying it to be fair honest. Occasionally, dreadfully tedious, of course, but nothing my lazy mind hasn’t been able to manage. My lazy-me was juuust about getting all comfy back to snooze-mode again it was catapulted into arcade fire intensity and work clustered my agenda. Then all the visa issues came flying and suddenly I realized I have to book my flight back to New York. Which is another issue in itself. A joke-issue. Fact is it’s worth a post in itself.

Proper size

Bought a new pair of boots. Arrived to the store, ten minutes before closing time and that was the first sign that it was meant to be. Only size left in this model? I take them. Wouldn’t have mind trying on another size first to ensure a proper fit? Don’t have time, buying shoes here, people.

Completely exhausted #2
So, Waving again. Slightly more complicated than expected. “What if email/chat were invented today,” proclaimed Google and the world’s tech-nerds jizzed up completely. Get me wrong right here, I’m utterly convinced I’ll jizz too, but right now it’s more complicated than a woman’s mind.
Can't say I'm leaping forward (as I should), more like, going back twenty years, to when man were dazzled by the ability to talk on the phone - without a cord. So, instead of grasping all the cool new features, I’m just randomly confused, and try to focus my attention on the intense joy of watching a live-chat – actually going on live – and see the other person’s reply type before your eyes. It amuses me. And it shouldn’t. That’s why no one should have given me a Google Wave account, yet. Idiots.

Completely exhausted
Before I state that I don’t know why I’m so ridiculously knackered before, during and after my latest (two) morning-runs, let’s just pretend that I don’t (I do). It’s like I have no energy and even the “smaller version” of my course is wearing me.
Fred, who is a certified sportsman and track & field legend, claims (and tries to save my confidence) that it’s due to the fact I had a deadly disease the other week and my body is exhausted owed to lack of vitamins and etc. The rest of us know this is bullshit. We know it has a more given reason, a more obvious one. I’m getting old. The sickness I experienced last week was just the first step and first sign that my body is caving in to age. Giving up on me. Have to be thankful for every run I manage to struggle through from now on. One. More. Step.

Yaya & Kolo Touré
Two brothers. Separated by a sea and countries, in club-football their dreams have always been the chance to once play together. Before, the hullabaloo was whether Kolo should move from London and Arsenal to Barcelona, or if Yaya was gonna be persuaded to do the reverse trip. As things have turned out, Kolo is now in Manchester, oh no, not undeniable champs, United, but little brother, City. And the talk now is whether Yaya will move to – Man City – to make way for Robinho in Barca and reunite with his brother. Who saw that one coming a year ago?

Christopher Walken Poker Face Halloween
Idiots might call Mr. Walken, one of the most underestimated actors/comedians alive. The rest of us frown our heads in disbelief and feel absurdly offended by such an insult and will continue to cast our votes for the next Presidential election on his behalf.

Haven’t run in five days
Saddest thing? This crazy sickness (just because I’m back at work doesn’t mean I’m well again – take that co-workers – swine flu for everyone) isn’t making me miss it. Body is totally fatigued. No energy. Just lying in bed, setting alarm at 8 instead of 6.30 – with no guilty conscience at all. Wow. Old man AND fatty at once.

Football recession
Next in line to get their share of remedy: Newcastle United.
The once, oh so proud, classic and, quite successful, English club with England’s perhaps best and most devoted fans with one of the most classic arenas; St James’ Park, has now decided to rename its stadium til the end of the season.
It is now SportsDirect.com@St James’ Park. Glad it’s evident that no financial issues are behind this sudden name-swap. Phew.

Google Wave - how awesome
Finally got the mysterious, long-sought-for and highly anticipated Google Wave. So what does it do?
No, serious.
What does it do? (I’m actually asking)
I have no clue.
Don’t understand it at all.
At this moment (hope it won’t last, last long at all) it’s way too complicated for my tiny little brain. I’ve seen some cool videos and promos, so I know it’s cool, and hence it’s Google – it is cool.
Problem two is the same problem the first person in space experienced (alone) or the first person in cyberspace (alone; see the pattern) or the few people going online on the very first chat systems – it’s just unbelievably lonely there. I’m sure there are thousands of people hooked up on it but none that I know. And as far as I’m concerned, I feel remotely amused by chatting with some weirdo in… well anywhere. It’s like those public chat-rooms for teens where you “hang out” – but unfortunately I don’t get a kick out of it.
Meanwhile I’m about to figure it out – I’m gonna pretend I understand it all and act very cool with my Wave. Can’t type now, gotta Wave.

2009 is a good year, a good year indeed
• AIK Swedish champs (supreme team all years; first time in eleven years it was recognized by the table too).
• Google Wave (all I have to do now is to Wave someone/something – have absolutely no idea how it works yet).
• Summer in New York.
• O-1 Visa for the US of fucking A: APPROVED.
Enough said. Let’s celebrate.

Alien Of Extraordinary Ability
And so the mail arrived informing about the thrilling, and highly anticipated news.
Or no, wait. First I got an email from Domingo, congratulating me but before I had time to figure out what the hell was going on, Jakob, the ECD called me and yelled the great news over the speakerphone in a room full of cheering people. Although, or perhaps, because I was still outrageously sick, half-lying(/dying) in bed (sofa), I had hard time grasping this information.
In summary; I felt frustrated. Who were all these people? And why the hell were they the people telling me these news? I hadn’t been properly informed of by the lawyer – the only person who should be first breaking them to me. She was the only person I wanted to hear it confirmed by. Not some Spaniard or yelling boss. Her. The lawyer. The woman with the facts.
Then, before I had time to hang up, there it was. Popping into my mailbox with the same much longed-for arrival of a white dove ending war with peace. The mail with the blissful topic-line:
I had prepared and rehearsed numerous times for this moment. When it finally happened, it wasn’t all that crazy joy and exuberant happiness I felt (maybe cause of my death-threatening sickness). Since this was Plan A. and I didn’t have a Plan B. my only option if this would fail was Plan C: get married, and to be honest, as much as I do love Americans, nothing I really wanted. That’s why it was more, sighing relieve.

Crazy sick
Started Sunday after I woke up at Olle. We ate the largest pizza in the world before we headed to Erik and watch the epic and forever-remembered Gold Final between IFK Göteborg vs. AIK.
Although I was nervous up until the very last whistle I might should have kept the same calm as mr Man of The Match, Martin Mutumba, who had tattooed "AIK Gold 2009" wide on his chest.
Two days prior to the game.
Most people want to know what/how he would have done if AIK hadn't won. Thankfully, he will never ever have to give a proper reply other than a smile to that.
Anyways. That's when it started. I was getting really, really cold. Sweater upon sweater and blankets covered my poor, voulnerable body. Nights were spent between hope and despair. Woke up every-other-hour cause I had to pee; sweating like a stung pig. Bed was a pool. Goind back to pool in that cold, freezing water to bed was unbelievable. Death was certain, but I made it through the first night.
Next day was spent between three-four really thick sweaters and sudden sweat and then shower and only undies. Terrible. Second night was better. Still pool-bed, but weirdly...better.Now. Second day home from work. Haven't happened since... I don't know when.
Fingers crossed I'll make it.
