Easter Sunday is always best enjoyed in the company of friends, and not work

I took the bike all the way up to Central Park to meet lé gang. Now I was supposed to work, but the sun called for me. It cried. So I just had to go. Had to!

The band always keep on playing

We started out with a well deserved rest

Horses are welcome in the park. So are Ludde and Philip.

Then the amazing - by far most random gang of roller bladers emerged. They looked completely insane.

We were all just quite astonished. Here personified by Fabian.

The amazing rollerblade crew

You see!!

Hello said the gang - PLEASE note the flowers on the tree

These pink/white dressed girls were mega-posing. Somehow not so much when I took a pic tho :(

Hello.

Well hello.

Something was funny about this ice cream van but I forgot what

At Upper East designer clothes are mandatory for kids. Even if they're too small to walk

We rested at Apple Store for a bit. Line was insane

I wish pictures could speak so you could hear how much these basterds complained about walking aaall day

krokodil III

I actually wore shorts for the first time this year

AAAaaaand we got to touch and look at the iPad

Magnificent feeling

Everyone had to

Then I both said goodbye and took a mandatory photo of FlatIron

Of course I met up with Thea, Linnea and Harald

And drank Cava

Work was very distant now

Then we went to jon and Miranda.

They had a crazy Easter party. But except painting eggs. They decorated cookies.

Everyone was doing it

But we drank beer and wine instead and ate Miranda's amazingly home baked cake

And that was kinda it. A totally absolutely amazing Sunday.

And oh yes, as in no - I have never uploaded so many pictures before ever. I'm exhausted.

Sweaty sweat

Past couple of weeks has been back and forth. The weather haven’t made up it’s mind and mixing rain with sun and clouds and wind. The alleged grueling hot summer in New York has just failed to present itself. Until now. And it hit hard. Usually on my morning runs I have to cross the bridge to get warm and start sweating.

Today I barley made it to the first steep before my body started liquefy. By the time I finished I was melting. Squeezed my shirt more times and exterminated more sweat than ever before. Looked at my shorts (who usually make it quite dry) and they looked and felt like soaked tights. Same with the socks. For the first time since arrival I used walk-to-work-shorts. Those drinks will come with ice tonight!

Q & A #1

Finally. Upon request. Shall we kick it off:

I like having too many fonts and the wrong mix of colors in my logo. It amuses me to do whatever I want here.
Same there. It amuses me to write whatever I want and post whatever I want.
28 and counting.
Thanks, but dunno. Generically blessed?
I run in the morning partly to have it over with, to be able to enjoy and relax the rest of the day without the stress of missing the workout. But it has evolved to addiction. I get anxious if I don’t do it.
No, I'm not only dreaming of winning the Olympics/Marathon. I intend to.
It changes constantly. But the only things that are certain is that it’s on the final 200m. And I crush my opponent. Later people will compare the run to Bolt’s race and discover I would probably have beaten him.
Probably? Because some critics will claim it’s an advantage to come into the final 200m with full speed [after a 42 km race].
1. Shanghai/New York 2. Stockholm 3. Amsterdam.
No only countries I’ve worked in are counted for.
South America and Africa. Love to go though.
Chicken curry. It’s going to be my death row meal. As home-cooked by my father.
No I thought about Antarctica, the South Pole and Australia but they are nowhere near my nearest wanting-to-go-plans.
Love candy but love the fact that I’ve quit more.
Four-five months.
…dunno, cause I like tweeting?
Un-follow me then.
Well. Remove me as a friend if I annoy you so much.
No I’m a BIG fan of Michael Bay.
Yes. Seriously.
More a fan of directors that never seem to fail.
Mann, Kubrick, Nolan, Scorsese, and I can’t think of any more now.
Nope.
I devour in quotes.
Wilde, Twain, and other great men (not gender specific) who have great things to say. Or inane stuff. That's better.
Hmmm let’s see. Nuts. More nuts and ice cream.
Inane - loooove inane stuff.
Cleverness.
Still addicted to it. But I tried to eat food that you couldn’t ruin with chili.
A lot of yogurt with granola, hot dogs (though I sprayed them with Tabasco) and stuff like that.
I only have two rules in my rule-free life:
Never complain. Never regret.

Sweat. I do it a lot, easily.
One simple answer to a retarded question: because I LIKE what I do. Can’t believe people who do things they don’t like. Why waste time on things you don’t like – and then complain about it.
Stay hungry. Stay foolish.

4th of July + Weekend + Las Vegas

A sentence to summarize my plans, ambitions and whereabouts for the impending holiday. Been planning this trip to Las Vegas since January (actually since we put feet on Swedish soil since last time). But then I wasn’t sure from where I would book the flight (destination was very much pre-determined) so I waited. And waited, and then, when the prices were high enough I thought about it for a while, just to make sure, and waited some more. It was ridiculous; the price skyrocketed during the few hours I contemplated. But I feel very proud over my mature decision though. Spending time in this American institute during a special holiday like this. Blessed might be the word actually. Proud and blessed.

I’ve been once and I didn’t want to leave when my flight left at 7am. My friends had to drag me back to our suite and packed the bag for me. It is still, by far, the worse flight I’ve ever been at. Believe me it had nothing to do with a terrible pilot (he's actually my #1 if someone would ever ask me to rank pilots I've flown with). Drunk out of my mind at absolutely gone mentally (no, no drugs) couldn’t count (didn’t know) which time zone we were in. Or why. Switched flight in New York (yieeiy, little did I know then) and I felt exactly like Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas when I woke up. Or up? Up, down, left, down, turn, bottom, up again, time difference, find the next plane, I was anything but right. Best pilot ever though. When we were about to touch ground he blurred out connecting flight numbers for despaired passengers, gave us URL’s with maps over the terminals and lit the lights above the heads of those who were in most time need. I remember I couldn’t tell if my light was lit or if I was still dreaming. Unbearable. Ran around like a stung chicken in circles and even stood in those sloooow snake-look-alike-lines to ask for assistance. Got it and I was two gates and an entire hour away from mine.

“But where are you going with this story, Christian!?”

Dunno. Except it’s heaven on earth. Especially for a few, very few – not too many days. David is taking his virginity there now and I think he’s twice as excited as I. His FB-status functions as a personal ticker, slowly counting down the days. Oh, did I mention we’re staying at Wynn this time (last time, Bellagio – yes, very Vegas, thanks). In so many words; wynn/wynn.

Smirking sun

Nothing better than a smirking sun. Well, one thing. Nothing better than spending the day outside when the sun is smirking. Ok, two things actually. Nothing better than spending the day outdoors, in a park perhaps, sipping on some cold, very cold beer and a bottle of rosé wine when the sun is smirking. Lucky number three. Nothing better than spending the day outside, sipping on some ice-cold beer and sharing a bottle of rosé wine in the companionship of your friends when the sun is smirking (don’t want to be perceived as the lonesome raging alcoholic here, o no thanks).

Hopes for tickets and pray for beer

Our chance to catch a glimpse of the games is the semifinal in football, played here in Shanghai tonight.
Apparently the plan is to hang outside the stadium and hope for cheap tickets.
Obviously I’m not the type of guy who’ll be tricked into these obscure things and try to pursue innocent fake-tickets sellers, plus - they’ll probably have armed guards outside and jail us.
Jordan said the beer costs 5 RMB* and case was done, deal sealed.

*5 RMB =5 kr =€0.5

Supply delivery

To be absolutely honest – haven’t really missed candy that much*.
After the first ordeal I knew I would be fine, just let craving have its go until it consumes itself.
Then reinforcement arrived along her return.
Didn’t really want it, but just because it’s there I couldn’t resist either.
And yesterday I went home and resisted some more.

*Maybe for the reason that I’ve eaten it during my whole time here – but – it’s different between candy from here, and candy from home. Aah. Sweet salty liquorice from home.

One minute me

Had a Show Yourself presentation here at work, and this week it was my turn.
Had a grand masterplan how to encapsulate the very core of yours sincerely, a harddrive loaded with video goodies and dazzling pictures of everything that represents me.
Only to discover an empty harddrive.
De fucking nada.
Part of the reason I worked so late last night, was trying to put together a film about myself, really pushing and selling the core of a Swedish hero.
Who is this mystery man. What does he want, and why.
The whole process was a nightmare and escalated into a blurry presentation with muddled picture and jumping image going too fast for anyone to get anything.
All my funny jokes went by unnoticed.
I'm devastated, empty.
But life goes on as it always do, and it’s Juri’s last night here and we have to channel our energy, enter our nirvana and feel lucky they at least serve boneless beer in this country.
Stop whining you sissy and do what you do best.
