Past couple of weeks has been back and forth. The weather haven’t made up it’s mind and mixing rain with sun and clouds and wind. The alleged grueling hot summer in New York has just failed to present itself. Until now. And it hit hard. Usually on my morning runs I have to cross the bridge to get warm and start sweating.
Today I barley made it to the first steep before my body started liquefy. By the time I finished I was melting. Squeezed my shirt more times and exterminated more sweat than ever before. Looked at my shorts (who usually make it quite dry) and they looked and felt like soaked tights. Same with the socks. For the first time since arrival I used walk-to-work-shorts. Those drinks will come with ice tonight!
